Anger due to Regret

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askmufti.co.za

Q: Please advise how to rid oneself of excessive anger due to regret and feelings of helplessness.

Also, please advise on how to stop fearing others to the point of physically shaking, and how to learn to love Allah and fear Him

A: The Holy Quran states:  Whatever befalls you, is through the Will of Allah.

The hadith of Our Rasool (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) states: If something has been destined for you, nothing can stop it. And if something has not been destined for you, it will never come your way.

In Surah Hadeed, Allah Ta’ala states: …. You should not regret over what you lost, nor be happy over what you gained.

From this we learn that one should not have regrets, nor feel helpless. Put your trust in Allah. Read this dua abundantly: HASBUNALLAHU WA NI’MAL WAKEEL

This will help against the feelings of anger and regret.

To overcome fear you need to build up self-confidence and this can be done by making dua to Allah, reading Quran a lot, and keeping coming with good, pious people.

Allah ta’ala make it easy for you to achieve what you desire and overcome what you fear, aameen
