Q: Is Al-Aqsa also regarded as a sanctuary (Haram)?
A. Although there are numerous virtues related to Aqsa and its surrounds and many Ahaadeeth mention the word ‘Muqaddas’ for it but we could not find the word Haram used in relation to Aqsa. In other words, it cannot be considered as sacred as the Haram of Makkah or Madinah wherein one may not cut the grass or hunt game etc.
