Refusing Intercourse During Counselling

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askmufti.co.za

Q: My husband and I have some issues where all he wants to do is spend time with his friends and no time with me. I asked him to leave our home to give me and him space to decide what is important in our marriage. We will be going for marriage counseling soon. Am I allowed to refuse my husband intercourse during this time or not?

A: Your query refers. You are not allowed to refuse him sexual relations during this period. This aspect of the marriage still remains in force.

And Allah knows best
