A.
On the first night of marriage, when in seclusion with the wife, hold the forelocks (hair of the forehead) of her head and recite the following Du’aa:اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّىْ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَخَيْرَ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ ،
Thereafter make Du’aa for Barakah.
Whenever intending to go to the wife (to satisfy oneself), recite the following Du’aa:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ اللّٰهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا ،
If she conceives, that child will be protected from Shaytaan, Inshaa Allah Ta’aala.
It is not necessary that sexual intercourse take place on this first night.
Mufti Siraj adds:
It is also Sunnat to offer the wife a glass of milk or some sweet drink.
Both spouses should make Wudhu and offer two Rakaats Nafl Salaah in Jamaat, if possible.
