It is claimed that if a person cuts his nails after Maghrib it brings “Nahussaat” or laziness.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

There are certain beliefs of my family members, especially females about which I am concerned. Please confirm their validity or otherwise in Shariah. Also, if someone cuts his nails and does not dispose them off immediately and instead keeps them in his room, then this act of his brings laziness. Please comment in the light of the teachings of Rasullah Sallahu Alayhe Wasallam

Answer

Both the beliefs; cutting the nails after Maghrib Salaat and not disposing of them immediately brings laziness, are incorrect.
