1. Narrated ‘Ursa: “The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with ‘Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).” (Sahih Bukhari 7.88) this hadith states that muhammad(saws) can write, where as we know he can’t. pls explain me? 2. What is the prophecy of muhammad(saws)? 3. Are there woman prophets in the list of 1,24,000 prophets(is no. correct)? 4. sarah, miriam, deborrah…., who are they. non muslims say they are also prophets.

Answer

1. There is no mention in the Arabic text of the Hadith of Rasulullah [Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam] ?writing the marriage contract?. The translator may have added this for explanatory purposes. (refer to the original Arabic version of Sahih al-Bukhari Hadith5158).

2. According to the most authentic view of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa, there were no female prophets that came to this world. (al-Bidaaya Wan nihaayah vol.1 pg.245, vol.2 pg.59)
