as salam a lay kum mufti sahib
My question is as follows: In ramzan we have to fast. After eating sehri I go to bed after praying fajr. Now when I sleep I get wet dreams. If I make ghusl I have to gargle my mouth which is farz but at same time will nullify my fast due to the danger of water entering the throat and going into the stomach. Can you please tell me what should I do?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, one should not gargle extensively in the state of fasting or that may risk the breaking of the fast due to water going down the throat. It will suffice to put water in the mouth to merely make for the gusl to be valid. [1]

وأما المضمضة والاستنشاق: فلا بأس بها للصلاة. وروي عن أبي يوسف أنه يكره لغير الصلاة لا حمال وصول شيء إلى الجوف

وقال أبو يوسف رحمه الله تعالى يكره المبلول بالماء لأن فيه إدخال الماء في الفم من غير ضرورة وفي ظاهر الرواية بأس بذلك لأن المقصد هو التطهير فكان بمنزلة المضمضة

ويكره المبالغة في المضمضة والاستنشاق لحديث لقيط بن صبرة وأنه معروف وقال شمس الأئمة الحلواني رحمه الله تعالى وتفسير ذلك أن يكثر إمساك الماء في فمه ويملأ فمه لا أن يغرغر

ويكره المبالغة في المضمضة والاستنشاق وقال الشيخ الإمام شمس الأئمة الحلواني: وتفسير ذلك أن يكثر إمساك الماء في فمه ويملاً فاه لا أن يغرغر.
