Do Christians who believe in oneness of Allah Ta’āla but not in Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) enter Jannah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

My question is regarding Christianity.  If those Christians who believe in Oneness of Alllah (swt) but dont believe in the prophethood of Prophet Muhammad (saw). will they enter paradise?

Answer

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Allah Ta’āla declares:

إِنَّ الدِّينَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الْإِسْلَامُ[1]

“Truly, the (recognised) religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.” (Āl Imrān: 19)

“Whoever seeks a faith other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and he, in the hereafter, will be among the losers.” (Āl Imrān: 85)

The above verses are clear that the only religion acceptable in the sight of Allah Ta’āla is Islam. if one chooses any other religion, it will never be accepted from him. Accordingly, the religion of a Christian will not be accepted and such a person will  not enter Jannah.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
