This was my question:
“I have given a written Talaq-e-Bayen to my wife on 19-Aug-2016, I have not mentioned 1/2/3 Talaqs in that. In my heart it was 1 Talaq. While sending her the Talaq-e-Bayen, I have also send the money for Iddath days. Now, is it possible for me to take my wife back.. whether its Halaal or Haram.“
Thanks for the reply on your website as follows:
“You state you have given your wife a written talaq-e-baain. In order for us to advise you, inform us what was the exact statement of talaq-e-baain. Also inform us if you issued your wife talaq previously. If so, how many times. You may email your response to admin@daruliftaa.net .”
As you asked,
1) My Talaq-e baain statement was.
“Now due to differences arose between our marital relation as my wife is a dis-honest, dis-obedient and unfaithful wife, therefore I decided for separation from my wife by giving divorce to her. So I have given divorce i.e Talak-e-Bayen to my wife (Her Name) D/O (Fathers Name) and separated her from my marital relation in the presence of the following witnesses “
I have also send the money for Iddath days. Now, is it possible for me to take my wife back ? Whether it’s Halaal or Haram.“
2) I have not given any Talaq before, this was the first time.
3) Now is there any scope for RUJU, if yes then please let me know.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Your statement of talāq to your wife constitutes one talāq-e-baain which terminates the nikah. You may reconcile with your wife by reperforming the nikah.1

وإن كتب كتابة مرسومة على طريق الخطاب والرسالة مثل: أن يكتب أما بعد يا فلانة فأنت طالق أو إذا وصل كتابي إليك فأنت طالق يقع به الطلاق

الكتابة على نوعين: مرسومة وغير مرسومة، ونعني بالمرسومة أن يكون مصدرا ومعنونا مثل ما يكتب إلى الغائب. وغير المرسومة أن لا يكون مصدرا ومعنونا، وهو على وجهين: مستبينة وغير مستبينة، فالمستبينة ما يكتب على الصحيفة والحائط والأرض على وجه يمكن فهمه وقراءته. وغير المستبينة ما يكتب على الهواء والماء وشيء لا يمكنه فهمه وقراءته. ففي غير المستبينة لا يقع الطلاق وإن نوى، وإن كانت مستبينة لكنها غير مرسومة إن نوى الطلاق وإلا لا، وإن كانت مرسومة يقع الطلاق نوى أو لم ينو ثم المرسومة لا تخلو إما أن أرسل الطلاق بأن كتب: أما بعد فأنت طالق، فكما كتب هذا يقع الطلاق وتلزمها العدة من وقت الكتابة.
