Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Ref: Q# 6695 you said that it is not permissible to sell the TV left by deceased, then what is supposed be done with it? a) can it be sold to kaafirs? will the money by HALAL b) can it be sold to Kaafirs and the money used as charity c) or use the money with the intention of reward d) it is stated on albalagh that it is permissible to sell TVs to anyone?? e) or the TV is supposed to be destroyed (what if the HEIRS object to this and only one or two heirs are willing to destroy it..what is to be done then?) f) WILL all heirs be sinful if the TV is still used?

Answer

In principle, it is not permissible to be of any assistance to Haraam.

Therefore, it is not permissible to buy, sell, hire, gift or keep a television. The television will have to be destroyed. (Ahsanul Fataawa vol.8 pg.306)
