Does a woman taking the pill treat her monthly bleeding like a period? as i understand it, it is due to withdrawel from the few days of sugar pills that are in this controceptive cycle and not a period. May Allah reward you with goodness and accept from us

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Your question and reference to sugar pills is not clear. Nevertheless, in general, the bleeding of a woman on contraceptive pills will be regarded as her period (haiz), if the bleeding is for at least three days.[1]

وما نقض عن ذلك فليس بحيض وهو استحاضة
وأكثر الحيض عشرة أيام ولياليها وما زاد على ذلك فهو استحاضة
