I am a sister I know someone who uses Facebook and likes dirty things. he is my cousin. i made a new Facebook account with a fake name where i post on the wall about how bad this sin is to make him understand in shaa Allah, i do this in order to not degrade him in front of others and neither do i privately message him to give him dawah, it is just on the Facebook wall where people can see, i know that he does see the status updates because he clicks like on them.
is it okay for me to do? because no one knows that he does things like this in my family, he is becoming an aalim and i cannot see tullaabul ilm doing actions like this because they are the future leaders of this ummah and if they do things like this then where do us laymen go to for our islaah? he needs to understand his responsibility. this is the only way i can make him understand without telling his mother or anyone else about this as i do not wish to disclose his gunaahs. i have no intention of talking to him and will not do this in shaa Allah as i am fully aware of my maqsad and review it daily.

Sister,
We appreciate your concern for your cousin brother and your endeavour to correct him.
It is important to understand a fundamental principle, Impurity can be removed only through pure means. Impurity cannot remove impurity. In that case, the impurity will be compounded.
The dangers of Facebook are well known. It is Shaitans net of trapping males and females. You have adopted Facebook with a noble intention. However, in doing so, you have made yourself vulnerable to the evils of Facebook. You could also be wrongly influenced through the many evil influences on Facebook.
Guard yourself against the tricks and traps of Shaitan. Having a noble intention to reform someone is praiseworthy. However, the procedure that follows must be in conformity to Shariah.
We advise you to close your Facebook account to save yourself from the evils of Facebook. You may consult with a senior member of your family and express your concern about your cousin brother with the intention of helping him to reform.
