Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh

In principle, there are two aspects which are considered before determining the Shari’ah Compliancy of a job profile:

1. The nature of the job profile/description itself.

2. The major source of the funds from which the employees of the company/bank are remunerated.

Binary Options are impermissible according to Shariah. The income received from trading binary options is impermissible. If the major source of income accrued to your company is impermissible, then working at such an institution is impermissible. Kindly advise us on the major operations and revenue generating income streams of your company in order to advise further.

The issue of working for a financial institution falls under the purview of assisting in sin in Shariah. The permissibility of working as a web-developer depends on the activities/functions one is required to perform. Kindly clarify your exact job profile in order to advise further.
