Saying “Thank you” if someone gives you a haraam item

Q: If someone gives to a person a haraam item, and the person says to the giver “thank you”is this kufr?

A man comes to install the cable for the tv-signal, and the person says after the cable-man does finish his work “thank you” to him, is this kufr?

A: This is not kufr. However, one should make taubah for involving himself in the sin.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
