Age and height of people in Jannah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Tafseer Raheemi

Question

How tall will people be in Jannah? I heard they will be enlarged.

What age will everyone be in Jannah?

Answer

It is narrated in one hadith that the height of the people of jannah will be equivilant to sixty zira’. The length of one zira’ is equivilant to one arms length (approx 15 inches). This was also the length of Hazrat Adam alayhis salaam when he was in Paradise.

All the residents of Jannah will be equal in and remain at the age of 33 forever, as this is the prime and pinnacle period of youth, where one reaches maximum physical strength and prowess. It has been narrated in a hadith that when the people of Jannah have setteled in Jannah a caller will call out and proclaim:

“O people of jannah, it is your right to remain young therefore you shall never become old and frail; it is your right to remain healthy therefore you shall never become ill (have poor health); and it is your right to remain alive, therefore you will never die.” (mishkat)
