Question

I know there are many levels of Jannah. I want to know that can a man of an upper level of Jannah marry a woman of this world who is of a lower level of Jannah and vice versa? That means is marriage possible in Jannah between the people of different levels?

Answer:

Marriage in Jannah has been established from both the Qur’an and Hadith. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) has said: “…and there won’t be anyone in Jannah who is unmarried.” 1

This makes it clear that everyone who enters Jannah, will be married. Allah Ta’ala says: “Gardens of perpetual residence; they will enter them with whoever were righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their descendants…” 2

Commentators have mentioned that Allah Ta’ala has not limited this bounty of entering high levels of Jannah to only the righteous people themselves but due to their righteousness, Allah Ta’ala has also extended this blessing to their kin members as well, with the condition that they are believers but have only been able to attain a low rank of Jannah. 3
