Selling Jointly-owned Item

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by CouncilofUlama.co.za
Q: Two people jointly made an item. Thereafter one of them sells it and the profit is then shared equally. Is such a partnership permissible?

A: Yes it is permissible. In fact, if it was agreed that the other partner would get more then too it would be permissible because no condition was made in the transaction that the parner getting less has to sell the item. He did so voluntarily.
