Q: Can a man shave the hair from all over his body?
A: It is permissible to remove the hair from the chest, etc. there is no sin in this. However, it is advisable not to do so. It was not the Sunnah of Rasoolullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam) to shave the chest, etc. The hair under the arm-pits and the pubic hair has to be compulsorily removed. (Al Fataawal Hindiyyah)
