Question:

A person starts his fasting of Ramadhaan and thereafter visits a place where they started Ramadhaan later. If he completes Ramadhaan with them he will have fasted 31 days. He has to fast for 31 days and celebrate Eid with them thereafter, correct?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

If a person started their fast a day early and had completed 30 fasts before the people of the locality, they should fast on the 31st day and celebrate Eid with the locality. They should not stop fasting and celebrate Eid before the locality (Al Muhit Al Burhani, Vol 3, Pg 340).

الواحد اذا شهد عند القادضي و رد القاضي شهادته و أكمل هذا الرجل ثلاثين يوما لا يفطر إلا مع الإمام
