Question:

If there’s constantly music in my office can I recite Quran?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It will be permissible to recite Quran in this situation, though it would be advisable to wear noise-cancelling headphones if possible. InshaAllah the recital of the Quran will be a means of barakah and guidance for the people in the office.

There is a principle in Islamic Jurisprudence that states “Difficulty will bring about ease”1.

In ideal circumstances, it would be recommended to recite The Quran in a conducive environment. Having said that since the music in the office is something out of your control the rules are relaxed.

Only Allah knows best
