Question:
I am a freelance web designer and developer. Someone referred me to a client. He’s looking for two websites including logo designing, business cards, and everything but one business is of recruitment and the 2nd is of Cannabis. Could you please let me know what I should do in this case? Since he wanted both of these projects to be done by one person.

Answer:
Since you are not directly involved in selling the cannabis and there is no sin involved in the work itself it will be permissible. 1
This ruling is extracted from the opinion of Imam Abu Hanifa with regards to the permissibility of building a bar, he states “There is nothing impermissible in the work itself, thus it is permissible”.2
