Question:

If a person has got haram wealth. Is there any leeway for him to use it himself or then give it to family?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It is not permissible to utilize the money that was acquired unlawfully for one’s personal needs. The ruling with regards to disposing of such income is that it should be given as Sadaqah to the needy1 without the intention of reward.
