Wetness Inside the Farj Ad Daakhil

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

Question:

I’m not a ma’zoor of vaginal discharge but every time I wake up, I have wetness inside the private part (farj ad daakhil) and this is usually mazi or discharge but nothing comes out of the farj al-khaarij. What should I do every morning? Take ghusal? Even if I’m 100% sure it is not mani and I don’t remember a wet dream? I’m very confused about the rulings after seeing many fatwa from many sites. JazakAllahu Khairan for clarifying.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Madhi and normal discharge (Wadi) do not make Ghusl Waajib. But Wudhu is necessary.

ليس في المذي الودي غسل فيهما الوضوء

“There is no obligation of bathing in the case of Madhi and Wadi and Wudhu is required (in both cases).” (Al Hidayah, Vol 1, Pg 49)

Only Allah knows best.
