A fasting person went to the doctor to give blood to someone who was in need. The doctor refused to take blood from him while he was fasting, so he had to break his fast. The question is: does he have to do Qaza of this fast or is Kafara?
الجواب حامدا و مصلیا
It is permissible as per Shari’ah to give blood while in a state of fasting. This doesn’t invalidate the fast. However, if the person broke his fast after the doctor had refused to take blood from him while he was fasting, then both Qaza and Kafara is essential upon him.
