Expressing Opinion on a Pack of Socks Holding the Picture of Kaba

Answered as per Shafi'i Fiqh by Darul Iftaa Jordan
What is the ruling of Sharia on a pack of socks on which the word Mecca and a picture of Kaba are printed?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

After examining the above pack, it was found that it involves humiliation of Kaba and negation of its glorified status in the Islamic faith.

Consequently, we recommend banning this pack and stopping its circulation. We also advise merchants not to import similar products that harm the feelings of Muslims. And Allah the Almighty knows best.

This answer was collected from the official government Iftaa Department of Jordan.
