Commentary for Allah (swt) has 100 parts in his mercy, 1 part is on the dunya (earth) and in the akhirah (hereafter) 99 parts will be there.?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

1) i just wanted to know if the commentry of this hadeeth is right:

Nearest Meaning:

Allah (swt) has 100 parts in his mercy, 1 part is on the dunya (earth) and in the akhirah (hereafter) 99 parts will be there.

i think the commentry is this can you tell me if it is right, or correct me if i am wrong.

Firstly, Allah (swt) mercy is unlimited. this hadith mentions two particular numbers i.e. 99 and 1, which is used just to make the insan understand. Basically the meaning to this is that Allah(swt) will have mercy on the insan(man) , jinn etc in the hereafter than in the dunya(earth).

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه narrates that Nabi صلى الله عليه و سلم  said:

“Allah Ta’ala has divided mercy in hundred portions. He kept ninety-nine portions by Him and sent one portion in this world. It is through this one mercy that the creation has mercy amongst them, to the extent that a horse will lift its hoof from its young fearing that it might harm it.” (Bukhari)

“Hafiz Ibn Hajar رحمه الله تعالى explains that these hundred portions are in relation to the mercy of the slaves of Allah Ta’ala due to the fact that Allah Ta’ala’s mercy is unlimited.”

And Allah knows best
