Question

What is the reference for this Hadith?

Anas (radiyallahu ‘anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) greeted children whenever he came by them.

Answer

Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration. The wording is as follows:

Thabit al Bunani (rahimahullah) narrates: “Anas ibn Malik (radiyallahu ‘anhu) passed by some children and greeted them. He then said, ‘Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) used to do the same.’”

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 6247)
