Using aqeeqa meat for weddings.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulUloomTT.net

Q. If a girl or boys’ Aqeeqa is done, is it permissible to use (and cook) that aqeeqa meat to share for people at wedding ceremonies and will the persons’ aqeeqa still be considered done? I heard someone saying that it is wrong to use aqeeqa meat at weddings, so i just wanted to make sure that this statement was indeed true?

A. It is permissible to use the Aqeeqa meat to feed people at Waleemas (wedding Ceremonies), or any other function. In all cases, the person’s aqeeqa will be considered as valid and sound.

And Allah knows best.
