My father is retired government servant since 2011. From fund he get after retirement he kept rupees 10 lac and approx jewellery of rupees 2.5 lac for my sister marriage. Until now she is not married and it might take approx 2 years for her to get married. I want to ask you that whether on this amount zakah is valid or not?

In the question mentioned above, if your father is owner of the money and jewelry which he has kept for the marriage of your sister then its zakah shall be wajib on him.
