Kaffaarah for intercourse while fasting

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a person who is fasting in Ramadan made eelaaj with his wife but did not make inzaal (ejaculate), then this means that in soorat jima was found, but not in ma’na. So is it correct to say that in this situation no kaffarah is necessary?

Bismillaah

A: Kaffaarah is necessary, whether there was inzaal or not, since eelaaj was found.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
