Was Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) able to recite the Quran from birth?

What is the accuracy of this statement?

‘The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) was knowledgeable regarding the Quran and was able to recite the Quran from birth.’

Answer:

‘Allamah ‘Abdul Hayy Al Lakhnawi (rahimahullah) has declared this a fabrication. He says, Quranic Verses and other Hadiths prove that this statement is a lie.

This should therefore not be quoted.
