Another version of the Hadith regarding a sound emanating from the chest of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)

Is there a Hadith which mentions that Nabi’s (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) chest made the sound of a hand mill/mill?

Answer

Yes, Imam Abu Dawud (rahimahullah) has recorded this famous Hadith with the following wording:

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Shikkhir (radiyallahu ‘anhu) says, ‘I saw Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) offering Salah and there was a sound coming from his chest like the sound of a mill due to [excessive] weeping.”

(Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 900)
