Can this Hadith Qudsi be quoted?
قال الله عز وجل لا ينجو مني عبدي إلا بإداء ما افترضت عليه
Answer
‘Allamah Subki and ‘Allamah ‘Iraqi (rahimahumallah) state that they have not come across any basis for this narration.

Imam Abu Dawud (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration in Kitabuz Zuhd on the authority of Tawus Al Yamani (rahimahullah) who says he saw this statement in one of the previous Divine Books.

The narration may be quoted as a Historical narration.
Translation
Allah ‘Azza Wa Jalla says, “My servant can only gain My salvation by carrying out what I have made compulsory upon him”
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
