Fudayl ibn ‘Iyad (rahimahullah) explains the meaning of humility

Please mention the Arabic text and reference for this narration:

Fudayl ibn ‘Iyad (rahimahullah) said:

“Humility is subjecting to what is right [the haqq] and submitting to/following it. If you hear it [haqq] from a child, you accept it, or even if you hear it from the most ignorant of people, you still accept it.” (Ibn Abid Dunya)

Answer

Imams Abu Bakr ibn Abid Dunya and Abu Nu’aym (rahimahumallah) have recorded this statement of Fudayl ibn ‘Iyad (rahimahullah).

(At Tawadu’ Wal Khumul: 88, Hilyatul Awliya, vol. 8 pg. 91)

Arabic text

حدثنا إبراهيم بن الأشعث قال: سألت الفضيل عن التواضع قال: التواضع أن تخضع للحق وتنقاد له ولو سمعته من صبي قبلته منه ولو سمعته من أجهل الناس قبلته منه

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
