More benefits of using a miswak?

Is the following narration authentic?

“Make miswak a must, do not be headless as there are twenty four benefits in miswak, the greatest benefit is that Allah Ta’ala, becomes pleased, there is increase in wealth, it freshens the breath, it strengthens the gums, it relieves headaches, it relieves toothache and due to the light from the face and teeth the Angels shake hands.”

Answer

The narration in question is cited in certain non primary Hadith sources as the statements of Sayyiduna Abud Darda (radiyallahu ‘anhu). Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) has declared this narration as baseless. It should therefore not be quoted.

(Talkhisul Habir, vol. 1 pg. 119)

Although this particular version is not reliable, certain parts have been recorded in other Hadiths. Kindly see one such Hadith here.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best

Some ‘Ulama have enumerated many benefits of the miswak, all of which are not necessarily from Hadith. Many of these benefits were understood from experience and are therefore recommendable.
