What is the authenticity of this Hadith?
Sayyiduna Harithah ibn Wahb (radiyallahu ‘anhu) narrates, I heard Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) saying:
“Should I not inform you of the people of Jannah? Every weak person who is considered [by people] to be weak and humble. If such a person were to take an oath, Allah would fulfil it. Shall I tell you who are the people of Jahannam? Every harsh, haughty and arrogant person.’
Answer:
Imams Bukhari and Muslim (rahimahumallah) have recorded this Hadith. The Hadith is therefore authentic.
