Is this Hadith correct?
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“He who makes peace/reconciles between people by [making up] good information or saying good things, is not a liar”
Answer:
Yes. Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim (rahimahumallah) have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyidah Ummu Kulthum bint ‘Uqbah (radiyallahu ‘anha).
The Hadith is therefore authentic.
