Is Surah Yasin the heart of the Quran?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

I have heard that Surah Yasin being labelled as the heart of the Quran has been mentioned in a weak Hadith. Is this correct?

Answer

Surah Yasin has been labelled as the heart of the Quran in more than one Hadith.

1) Reported by Sayyiduna Anas (radiyallahu’anhu) in Sunan Tirmidhi (Hadith: 2887)

2) Reported by Sayyiduna Ma’qil ibn Yasar (radiyallahu’anhu) in Musnad Ahmad (vol.5 pg.26)

The collective strength of these chains make it suitable for us to label this esteemed surah as the heart of the Holy Quran.
