(Fatwa: 627/627/SD=10/1436)

It is proved that the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, wore jubbah. His jubbah would reach up to the shanks. If someone wears jubbah up to the same length with the intention that it is proved from the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, then he shall earn reward. But wearing only the jubbah is not sunnah dress. Various types of clothes are proved which the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, wore. He did not wear one type of dress only, rather all the clothes which the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, allowed to wear are sunnah.
