If we are to repent a haram action, but we know that we will most likely do it again, what is the point, if we then have to fast for three days for breaking a promise?

Sincere repentance is to make a firm intention never to repeat the sin, however, due to our weaknesses if we repeat that sin, the repentance should be repeated.
