Is it permissible for the Aamil (raaqi) to touch (the skin or any part) a non mahram women during the ruqya?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Is it permissible for the Aamil (raaqi) to touch (the skin or any part)  a non mahram women during the ruqya?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh

An Aamil is a person who cures people from Sihr and Black Magic. If the Aamil is righteous and pious, then one should consult with such an Aamil. However if the Aamil is not pious and un-righteous, then one should abstain from consulting with such an individual.  With regards to your specific question, it is impermissible for an Aamil to touch any part of a Ghair Mahram woman during the ruqya treatment. Rather, the Aamil should use the services of a female assistant or family member to administer the ruqya treatment.
