My question is what should my grandmother do to ease her guilt

My grandfather passed away last month at the age of 82.He was a heart patient.THe circumstances of hids death were that he and his wife were arguing over a carpet.My grandmother was trying to stop him for pulling the heavy carpet up the stairs,as he was a heart patient.My grandfather was angry at her that why she had to have that carpet washed.Anyways during the exertion ,he passed away.Now my grandmother feels guilty ,that he died while being upset with her.And they usually had small arguments regarding common household matters.But m,y grandfather never held grudges.My question is what should my grandmother do to ease her guilt.She feels that she had been disrespectful of him,during his life.What can she do.Is there any thing she can do for repentance.Ive heard that a woman who passes away in a state that her husband was not pleased with her,will be punished.Please clarify

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

We are sad to know of the demise of your grandfather. May Allah  Ta`ala grand your grandfather Jannatul Firdows. Ameen.

Rasulullah (sallalahu alayhi wa sallam)said;

صحيح البخاري

إنما الأعمال بالنيات

Translation:

Actions are according to intentions[1]

Your grandmother was concerned for your grandfather. She will in fact be rewarded for her concern. The death of your grandfather was with the decree of Allah. There is nothing to be guilty about for your grandmother.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
