Question
Recently I came across a fatwa saying there is no problem in piercing the nose for females. Can it be seen only by mahrams since face & arms are not included in awrah for some scholars, so is the nose ring considered as an adornment or not? Do I need to conceal it from non-mahram men?
Answer
Thank you for your question.
Nose Piercings
Nose piercings are permissible in the Hanafi school, but may not be permissible in the Shafi’i school. Please see the details below:

According to the Hanafi school, if one happens to have a nose ring, it would not need to be concealed from men. In the Shafi’i school, if one had a nose ring, it would not be permissible to display it to non-mahram men, as this is considered extra adornment.
