Is it allowed to pray 2 rakat nafila prayer after witr? Or is it makruh or even haram?
Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate
assalamu `alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh
It is superior to make the witr prayer the last prayer that one prays in the night, but if one has already performed the witr prayer, and then wants to pray additional prayers (whether before sleeping or afterwards), this remains encouraged and there is nothing wrong with it. To specifically and intentionally pray two rak`as after the witr prayer, however, is not a sunna.
