Do bleeding gums break the Wudhu?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. Do bleeding gums break the Wudhu?

A. If one’s gums are bleeding and the total amount of blood is less than the saliva in one’s mouth, it will not break one’s Wudhu. However, if the total amount of blood is more than the saliva in one’s mouth, then one’s Wudhu will break.

N.B. The extent of blood or saliva is known by checking the colour of the saliva after spitting it out.
