Covering the head whilst reading Quran

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. Is it compulsory to cover the head whilst reading Quran?

A. Whilst it is not a requirement to cover the head whilst reading the Qur’ān, to do so is a mark of respect. Allāh Ta‘ālā says:

Whosoever venerates the symbols of Allāh, then it is truly from the piety of the hearts.” (Qur’ān, 22:32)

When reciting the Qur’ān, one should bear in mind that it is like one is communicating with Allāh Ta‘ālā and therefore, one should observe utmost etiquette.
