Using scented soap in the state of Ihraam

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. Is there any penalty for washing ones hands with scented soap in the state of Ihraam?

A. One should use unscented soap in the state of Ihraam. If however, one washes his/her hands with scented soap in the state of Ihram, one will have to discharge the Sadaqat-ul-Fitr amount to compensate for it. The Sadaqat-ul-Fitr amount is one Saa’ (3.5kg) of barley, dates, raisins or half a Saa (1.75kg) of wheat or its equivalent value, which is approximately 15 Riyaals in Makkah Mukarramah. (Hindiyyah 1/241)
