Is my mother-in-laws new husband a Mahram (non-stranger) to me?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by TheMufti.com

Q. I am a Muslim female. My father in law passed away and my mother-in-law remarried another man? Is my mother in laws new husband a Mahram to me or not?

A. Your mother-in-law’s new husband i.e. your husbands stepfather, is considered a non-Mahram (stranger) to you. Hence, it is necessary for you to observe Hijaab from him at all times. (Nisaa)
