According to the hanafi madhab are men/women allowed to marry without the permission of their parents?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Tafseer Raheemi

Question

According to the hanafi madhab are men allowed to marry without the permission of their parents or even without the permission of the womens parents?

This question is with regards to parents not allowing you to marry for no apparent reason or reasons such as timing isn’t right, get a better job etc.

Answer

You know the Madhab. Now be gentle with your parents, Don’t hurt their feelings no matter what happens. Keep their nek Duaas with you.

Allah said: “And if they force you to commit Shirk, Do not obey them However, provide company for them in the dunya in a reasonable way”.

So even if they were mushrik, one should deal with them kindly.
