Dealing with Barelwi aqidah person

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
I live in an area where all the mosques follow the barelwi aqidah. What can I say to them when they ask why I don’t celebrate milaad and also when they make fun of our beliefs. Also could you tell me some information i can say to them about their aqeeda with proof from quran and hadith which show their beliefs are wrong as i have a few friends who read books like taleem ul haq etc. which are our beliefs but then follow their parents and barelwi beliefs in the mosque. With this I might be able to show them just to stick to the correct beliefs.
People do joke around, mock, and call names, this is a norm in our societies. This has happened a lot specifically with the people of truth we should be patient with them. We should avoid such confrontations and not give people a chance to argue with us. We should not say or support their innovations. We should stay away from it and on the Day of Judgment people who are innovating will be deprived of the prophet’s intercession and will not accepted at the place of kauthar.
